Located at the borders between Tanzania and Burundi and Rwanda, the Rusumo waterfalls offer tourists a breathtaking experience of viewing one of the greatest waterfalls in the region. A dam has been constructed to generate electricity for the three countries. This project has added further attractions to the site. Access to the Rusumo Waterfalls is by road from Mwanza in Tanzania, Kigali from Rwanda, and Bujumbura from Burundi. The price for the drive from Mwanza is negotiable but it ranges from U$$ 1500 to US$ 2500 depending on individual or group.
